Angela Aula is an Inuk artist born in Iqaluit and raised in Sanirajak, Nunavut, now based in Toronto. Known for her vibrant murals and Inuit-inspired makeup art on TikTok (nearly 50k followers), Angela began teaching Inuit culture and art in schools in 2024. Through her workshops, artwork, and videos, she shares and preserves Inuit traditions for future generations.

I’m blessed with a supportive husband of 16 years and our three wonderful children, two amazing teenagers and our sweet baby who’s almost one. Family is everything to me. I take pride in teaching our children about our Inuit heritage and arts, keeping our traditions alive through stories, creativity, and culture. My oldest daughter has grown into a talented artist herself! I’ve been teaching her to draw since she was a baby. None of what I do today would be possible without the love and support of my husband and the joy my children bring to my life.

Why I do what I do

I share Inuit culture and art because it’s who I am. It’s how I honour my ancestors, connect with my children, and help others understand the beauty and strength of our traditions.
